Wild Tokay gecko thriving in Vietnam Residential house
A wild Tokay gecko seen thriving about in a vietnam house. Yes, it is that big, NOT photoshopped.
At least two were living behind this cupboard for a period of time
The family told me, and they are fine with it.
I planned to photograph the Tokay Gecko with its environment to show the size of it and I successfully got it after waiting for hours (First Photo, Wide Angle).
It was only possible to achieve this by hiding somewhere else in the house, with just my tripod and camera pre positioned there (Using my remote).

Lights need to be switched off, it ONLY comes out in the shadowed areas at night, never in the light (Notice light on left side of photo from other part of house).
Whenever the lights switched on, it would scurry back to the rear of the cupboard incredibly fast.
2nd photo was taken with telephoto lens to show the details of the lizard when it scurried behind the cupboard.
Getting the shot was only possible by bracing my lens/ hand against the wall (HandHeld). No room for tripod.
This is the biggest house lizard I ever seen in my life. What an intriguing sight.
